Ya’ll already know about Dominic’s back injury from last winter. It just goes ON and ON and ON and the nerve pain has just gotten worse over the summer, especially with the workload he’s taken on. He went to see Dr. McClellan, a surgeon at Ortho Cincy, last Monday who could not believe he’s been working through the pain for 10 months. He recommended a micro-discectomy to remove the disc fragment sitting on his nerve. It’ll be an out patient procedure and the shop will be closed for a two week period.
Surgery is scheduled for October 7th and we will close the shop for two weeks. We will be finishing all work orders (aside from long term projects) in the queue before we close. I will keep everyone updated if the dates change and when Dominic can return to the shop for work after the surgery is over. I will be taking care of him full time at home but will have my laptop for emails and texts as always.
GIGANTIC shout out to Dr. Timothy Burns, Northside resident and Ortho Cincy physician, for treating Dominic non surgically for the last 8 months and getting us into the surgeon on a day’s notice last week. That dude has gone above and beyond for us over and over again. One day we are going to repay him for his generosity and kindness.
