Two years ago today we signed the lease for 4122 A Hamilton ave. I am sitting here thinking, two years? Already? I always reflect back to that time during the holiday season. I remember Dominic spending all of December 2012 in the garage building the skateboard bench and creating displays and 14 foot bike trees. I remember doing all of the account set ups in my office at home and I was in FREAK OUT MODE most of the time.
And here we are. Two freaking years later.
We had an awesome December. Our sales this month TRIPLED our sales from December 2013. Like, really? SO unexpected. We are so grateful.
I am checking year end numbers on the daily and we have had a 40% growth in sales in our second year of business.
FORTY. FREAKING. PERCENT.
It blows my mind, really. Like, I come home in a daze and all I can think is, wow. WOW.
The NBDA award? Say what? Still in shock!
Next month, we’ll be closed on Mondays. We did this last year, just for the months of January and February, because it’s supposed to be slow season and Dominic will start construction inside the space to make room for 20% inventory.
On January 17th, we’re actually shutting it down for an entire weekend so we can go up to Cleveland and have a weekend away at Rays Indoor Mountain Bike Park. We haven’t ever closed on a Saturday but we need a break!
In February, the Mega Cavern opens down in Louisville, and we’ll do a shop road trip to ride the 320K feet of indoor dirt. Stay tuned for a date. It’ll probably be a Monday so we don’t have to deal with huge crowds.
We even built up a bike for that place. This Credence CCR.
And then after this picture blew up all over social media, we got in a request for a custom dirt jump bike so it was a no brainer to open up an account with Standard Byke Co. DUH.
So, the new website is up and running. Do you like? My guy David at H-Ball web design is the brains behind it. He is good. You should use him if you need help with web design.
Happy New Year to everyone!
We are very much looking forward to 2015!
