We are very excited about our 7th annual Ride for Reading book delivery on May 10th!
A national initiative based out of Nashville, Ride for Reading brings together bicyclists, schools, libraries, volunteers and other community members to create home libraries for kids, just before summer vacation starts. This year, we’ll be delivering 5,000 books to students at South Avondale Elementary – enough for each child to take home 10 books!
We need cyclists to help make this delivery a HUGE success! Check out the timeline below and join in on this amazing event!
- 11:00am-11:30am Cyclists load books at Coffee Emporium WAREHOUSE at 1200 Walnut St. in OTR.
- 12:00pm: Cyclists depart for South Avondale Elementary. Volunteers set up tables at school.
- 1:00pm – 2:00pm Cyclists arrive at the school and distribute books with help from volunteers.
