We’ve hit the 4 month mark and June was really good to us. Summer is the busy season for bike shops, but seriously, we’ve absolutely exceeded all expectations of what business would be like at Spun. We thank you so much for your support and hope you’ve had the best bike shop experience at our shop. We’ve had some response on Yelp and Facebook:
“This is just a great bike shop. Knowledgeable and friendly mechanics. Great selection of bikes and gear. Owner operated by folks who are passionate about cycling of all types – bmx, road, commuting, etc. Get there!”
“Best most helpful and welcoming experience I’ve had in the not-so-easy attempt to restore my bike. You will not feel strange like you’re some kind of pretentious bike shop, these people are down-to-earth, nice, friendly, helpful, love bikes, and want to see you riding. I definitely recommend Spun to ANY level of rider and especially if you are getting started. You can purchase great and not crazy overpriced bikes OR get your existing one repaired. See for yourself.”
“Awesomeness. I would give them more stars if I could. Judi and Dominic are great bike living people and their mechanic John rocks. Super chill atmosphere. They know everything you need to know about bikes. Go there.”
“This crew knows bikes at every level! You will not find a better shop … 1 of my bikes was bought here, both have been serviced here. The passion they have for bikes and riding is unmatched.”
“Great mechanics. Knowledgeable, friendly, timely, and just fun folks. My bike and my wife’s bike are humming thanks to Spun! Get out there people.”
Here are a few of our happy customers:
The longer days are pretty awesome for riding bikes all day long. The Spun crew actually got out for a ride Thursday night with the Slow and Steady folks last week. We had a great time. We’ve all decided that we need to get out of the shop and enjoy our bikes as much as possible. Join us!
Northside got a second grant and CoSIGN round TWO is in full swing. We’ve submitted our application and the Call to Artists has been flying around on Facebook for the last few weeks. Hopefully we’ll be unveiling a sweet new sign the day after Thanksgiving. Wish us luck!
The next big event that’s coming up is the Northside 4th of July Rock n’ Roll carnival and parade. The party starts on the 3rd, across the street from our shop, at Hoffner Park. Happy hour starts at 4pm, live music at 6pm, and the party goes on till 1am. We’ll be open until 8pm and then we’ll head on over to the park. The parade is on the 4th and the party starts early! Kegs and Eggs at 10am, parade at noon, which ends at Hoffner Park where the festival goes on all day. We’ll be riding bikes in the parade with our friends from Mobo. This is definitely the best 4th of July parade in the country and you do not want to miss it.
Ride on-
