I don’t know how many times I have gone in to a bike shop, and ended up spending an hour standing there on my feet, bullshitting with the people who work there. It was always frustrating to me that I never had a place to sit unless I sat behind the counter, which usually wasn’t an option.
So, last fall while we were researching the development of a bicycle retail store front, we came across a picture of a cool bench made out of skateboards. We thought this fit the idea of what we wanted for our bike shop.
At Spun Bicycles, we want to be a destination. A place where people can come and hang out while they wait for the bikes to get repaired.
