Two months ago today we opened our doors for business and so far, business has been fantastic! We have sold 30+ bikes (I’ve lost count!) and repaired over 70 bikes, business has WAY exceeded our expectations and goals. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
We will continue to make Spun Bicycles affordable so EVERYONE can ride bikes. We will never gauge you for labor. We will always carry affordable, quality bicycles and accessories. We will always work with you if you have a project bike you want to piece together with our help (Dominic’s favorite). We will always strive to have the best customer service and if you have a good (or bad) experience at our shop, please let us know on Yelp.

We have signed on with the following brands:

BMX!
Big shout out to our very first sponsored rider, Trey Turner. Dominic found Trey at the Delhi Skatepark and saw something in him, something special. Trey is a sweet boy, very humble about his mad skillz, and so appreciative of everything in his life. Trey is also currently sponsored by Alienation, you can see his newest edit here (explicit lyrics).
MAY IS BIKE MONTH!
A couple of events we have planned for next month:
May 8th – Ride For Reading! Come on out and help us deliver books via bikes to the boys at Saint Peter Claver Latin School down in Over-The-Rhine. We are meeting at 10am at Wordplay to pack up and will depart by 10:30. The kick off party will be the Sunday before, May 5th from 4pm-6pm in Hoffner Park, with a potluck and a BMX demo from John and Dominic. Please join us!
Spun Bicycles will be manning a PM commuter station during Bike to Work week on May 16th. We’ll have snacks and water, and The Listing Loon is directly next door for your wine and beer cravings. If their kegs are tapped by then, we may try to work out a deal with them if you are commuting on your bike. Stay tuned for an update.
RIDES!
The Wen night mountain bike rides are starting! I will post an update every Wen on the ‘where and when’ if the trails are dry. Tomorrow’s rain will no doubt cancel the ride for this week. For the next month, we’ll probably meet at the shop and drive to Devou, or you can just meet us in the parking lot of the MTB trails. This will be a friendly, easy going ride, and I encourage all of you newbies to MTB’ing to join us.
The Thursday night Slow and Steady ride still departs from Hoffner at 7:30 every week, rain or shine. This is a great ride for those new to bicycling. It’s also a great way to meet other bike dorks and just get off the couch for a night and be active.
